Tuesday, 20 November 2018

08:00 – 10:00

Session 1: PRECISION MEDICINE IN THE CLINIC - DREAMS VS REALITY

This session will feature the dreams of the field vs. the reality. What can the current sequencing technology can offer vs. what can the clinicians use.

&

Panel Discussion

10:00 – 10:30Coffee Break, Networking and Exhibition
10:30 – 12:30

Session 2:  CHALLENGES IN IDENTIFYING DISEASE SIGNATURES

This session will explore the areas of Health informatics and Disease signature. Can we provide specific disease signatures in cancer, inflammation, cardiovascular diseases, rare genetic diseases? Are monogenetic diseases easier to predict and fit treatments?

And what will be devoted to state-of-the-art molecular pathology and its role in developing new drugs based on omics data.

Session 3:  PERSONALIZED IMMUNOTHERAPY

Personalized immune therapy is becoming a new hope for many patients. This session will focus on the state-of-the-art strategies that were recently approved for clinical use or are under development.

Session 4:  DISEASE BIOMARKERS FOR PRECISION MEDICINE

Finding specific Biomarkers are essential to predict both efficacy of treatment and prediction, which patient population (or individual) should not be given a specific drug. The industry expert panel should address this points using clinical examples and clinical development of drugs build on biomarkers.

Examples should be given in Oncology, Cardiovascular diseases and inflammatory diseases.

Session 5:  DEVELOPING NEW NANOMEDICINES FOR PRECISION MEDICINE

This session will showcase both academia and industry to show the current development in this field. What were the challenges (technological) initially and how they were solved currently. The session will also open new questions about specificity and biological barriers and what are the challenges there.

Session 6:  The FUTURE OF PRECISION MEDICINE FROM BUSINESS TO REGULATORY

This session will place an emphasis on two hot classes of drugs in immuno-oncology: CAR-Ts and PD-Xs. Subjects to discussion will be the economic and regulatory challenges of perfect precision (autologous) vs broader, less-personalised (allogeneic) approaches. The latter provides a nice case example for the medical and economic pressure to become more precise in order to differentiate fundamentally similar drugs and fully leverage the iOnc platform.

Panel Discussion

12:30 – 13:30Lunch, Networking and Exhibition
13:30 – 15:30

Session 7:  PRECISION MEDICINE - INDUSTRY ROLE

This session is aimed to showcase the industry that is currently developing novel personalized drugs. The speakers should discuss their challenges in choosing the indications and the specific therapeutic modality to follow. How did they chose it, what are the technological challenges and what are the therapeutic potential benefit.
